The Sega Genesis: My transistion Console

Being an owner of a Sega Genesis Nomad, it seemed only natural to get a Genesis. If 
you're reading this and you don't know anything about the Nomad, then
you should read that page first. Otherwise, this is going to be a real short document.
The Sega Genesis was my first console purchase, transitioning this site from focusing
only on portables to including specific consoles as well.

Those of you familar with the Nomad know that at its heart, it's a Sega Genesis,
re-engineered and packaged as a portable device. With the port for a second controller
and A/V output, the Nomad is perhaps the most full-featured console available. Since
I was getting Genesis titles to play on my Nomad, the Genesis seemed to be a natural
choice. After a while, it got old hooking the Nomad up to the TV to play games, so
might as well get a Genesis and resolve that problem. Since the Genesis itself is 
fairly inexpensive these days, it wasn't much money, but was certainly a lot of fun.

So, the Nomad is a great device for travel, but when I'm at my residence, the Genesis
is great because it's already wired up and ready to go. One library of games, two easy
ways to play. A no-compromise solution!
